Dissolving pulp for the viscose industry
Borregaard ChemCell's dissolving cellulose has traditionally been used in the production of artificial silk (rayon filament) and rayon staple fibre. The company's current strategy is mainly to focus on selected high quality niche customers.

Whilst the growth potential for this type of cellulose is primarily in Asia, the development of new cellulose-based textile fibres with special properties (solvent spun) opens up new possibilities for Borregaard ChemCell.
